V Mello is a music project formed by musician, songwriter, and producer Vance Van Donselaar sometimes collaborating with friends and releasing original music to the public on Jackrabbit Records.
V Mello's songs are inspired by life's experiences and the idea of putting out original music with a positive message, catchy melody, and a funky, good groove.

V Mello finds inspiration all around him. He strives to make his music representative of himself and the experiences that he encounters without the idea of feeling the need for total perfection needing to be present at all times to convey a creative, realistic journey and positive experience for the listener.
V Mello used to feel that total perfection was necessary in the studio and live at all times coming from a music school background. Today, he thinks that music is too perfect and missing the grit of analoge and appreciates the slight imperfections in a studio or live performance. Living in the digital-age now with our current audio technology advances, skill levels or (performance expectations) are lower and final product expectations are super high. V Mello now purposely trys to leave in some grit and slight imperfections, for a more natural, live sound and performance in his final studio recordings and mix to maintain the true integrity of a live performance even in the studio without sacrificing quality. This formula makes for a unique, more live, more realistic, creative, artistic, tapestry and journey in lyric and sound.
